Recently I read the book Hysteria 1964: The Fear Campaign Against Barry Goldwater by Lionel Lokos. If you're interested in politics, as am I, you might find this book an interesting read. What intrigued me about it was Lokos' in-depth examination of the means via which one American political party - in an effort to win the national election - launched an all-out operation to assassinate the character of the candidate of another American political party.
